MND Trust supports families with caregivers, home staff, mobility aids, communication tools, guidance, and donated equipment, ensuring safer accessible care.
Research worldwide is steadily improving our understanding of MND, and India is part of this progress. Zydus Healthcare recently conducted the country’s first clinical trial at Brains Super Specialty Hospital, Bengaluru, with results awaited.Globally, therapies such as Radicava (Edaravone), which slows decline in early cases, and Tofersen (Qalsody), a gene therapy for patients with the SOD1 mutation, are offering new hope.
Other investigational drugs include Masitinib, Ambroxol, CNM-Au8, and Metformin, all targeting different aspects of the disease. While international trials usually limit participation to local patients, we closely track developments and share updates through trusted sources like ClinicalTrials.gov
and CTRI India
Holistic MND caregiving requires adaptability, education, self-care, and support.
Home modifications empower MND patients with independence, comfort, and dignity.
MND causes weakness, speech issues; diagnosis requires tests ruling out conditions.
Every 90 minutes someone gets diagnosed with ALS globally
We maintain a growing network of neurologists, therapists, and home nurses who understand the unique challenges of MND.
In Bengaluru, we also provide palliative care services in partnership with NIMHANS, with over 200 home visits conducted to date. Our aim is to ensure that families never feel alone in navigating medical or caregiving needs.
Your support directly impacts lives. Donations fund mobility aids, home visits, and diagnostic costs for low-income families.
Beyond giving, you can volunteer your time, collaborate as a healthcare partner, or support us through CSR initiatives. Together, we can expand care and bring dignity and hope to families across India living with MND.
